About Me

Brynn Johnson (she/they) is a third-year student at Agnes Scott College, majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. A writer of both fiction and memoir, her work draws on her experiences growing up in the Deep South. Her pieces have been previously featured in the working-class literary magazine Underbelly Press as well as Agnes Scott's own AURORA Literary Arts Magazine, where she now serves as a prose editor. Her nonfiction essay "The Curse" was selected as an honorable mention for the 54th Annual Agnes Scott Writers' Festival, and she is the recipient of the 2024 Janef Newman Preston Prize for Fiction.

She is the historian for Blackfriars Student Theatre - the oldest continuously operating theatre troupe in Atlanta - and an avid collector of various trinkets.
